Who runs this site

urbandecaygame.com and the game Urban Decay are made by TPMT Games, the games label of The Post Modern Truth, run by Daniel L. Seidler, Denmark.

Email: ThePostModernTruth@gmail.com. We answer in English or Danish.

How we handle personal data is on the privacy page; how accessible the site is, on the accessibility page.

Using this site

Everything on this site, its text, pictures, film, the radio's songs, the map and the game's art, belongs to TPMT Games or The Post Modern Truth unless it says otherwise. You are welcome to look, listen, link to any page and share the link.

  • Writing about the game? Everything on the press page (the screens, the key art, the logo, the film and the descriptions) may be used freely to write about, review or stream Urban Decay. A link to urbandecaygame.com is appreciated.
  • Making videos or streams of the game is welcome, and you may earn money from them on the platform you publish to. Please do not share the game’s files, builds or anything taken out of them, and do not present your video as official. We may ask for a video to be taken down if it breaks the law or these terms; we will not use these terms to stop honest criticism.
  • Please do not copy the site or its contents to sell them, pass them off as your own, or make it look as if we endorse something we do not. If you want to use something in a way not covered here, ask: we usually say yes.

Links to other sites (Steam, the band's site, Vercel's or Cloudflare's notices) are there to help; we are not responsible for what those sites say or do.

Reporting a name or a server

Players choose names that other players see: display names, crew names and tags, and the names of servers in the server list. Under the EU Digital Services Act this makes the game's online service a hosting service, and these are its rules.

  • To report something you believe is illegal or breaks the game's rules, email ThePostModernTruth@gmail.com with "Report" in the subject. Say what it is (the name, the crew or the server), where you saw it, and why you think it is illegal or against the rules. Your name and email are optional.
  • What we do. We look at every report, act on it without delay where the law or the rules say so, and tell you what we decided if you gave us an address. We can rename or remove the name, the crew or the server listing, or suspend the account.
  • If we act on your account, the decision and our reason for it are in the file you can download from the launcher's Account page. Write to us if you think we got it wrong, and we will look at it again. Every action our staff take is recorded, as the privacy page describes.
  • Single point of contact for authorities in the EU, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, and for players: ThePostModernTruth@gmail.com, in English or Danish.

The game

Playing online needs a free account, for players aged 16 or older. Its rules are the terms of play, which the launcher shows in full when you make the account and again whenever they change. If you believe someone under 16 has an account, tell us and we will delete it.

Urban Decay is still being made and has not been age-rated yet. It shows violence, blood and horror, and is made for players aged 16 or older. The game is free; there is nothing to buy in it.

Liability and law

We work to keep this site and the game's servers up and correct, but they are offered as they are: things change during development, servers can be down and online records can be reset. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by using the site or by it being unavailable. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away any right you have as a consumer.

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the consumer law where you live. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most things are solved that way.

Licences

The site is built with open-source work, used under its licence:

  • Barlow and Barlow Condensed, by Jeremy Tribby: SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • Caveat, by Impallari Type: SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • IBM Plex Mono, by IBM Corp.: SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • JetBrains Mono, by JetBrains s.r.o.: SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • Astro, the site's framework: MIT License.

The licence texts are at openfontlicense.org and opensource.org/license/mit. The sounds and music in the game carry their own credits in the game.
